Tactile Temptations is a series of sculptures inspired by tempting foods and desserts. I started with an interest in tactile materials, and began by contrasting hard, smooth materials such as glass and metal, with softer, sensual materials such as fur and feathers. What developed from this were pieces that resembled exotic desserts. These sculptures are meant to be alluring and inviting, while at the same time slightly repulsive.
